The Des Moines Police Department for the fourth straight year, again took part in the annual "Tip A Cop" fund raising event for the Special Olympics held at the Des Moines Red Robin Restaurant. This year's event saw the DMPD Staff members wearing aprons, clearing tables, serving beverages and generally having a good time entertaining the local patrons. The DM store took in donations that matched last year's event, with the state as a whole increasing the amount by 9% over 2006.
